Let Them See You in Me

Have you ever imagined what people would say about you if you passed away? Would they say that you were mean, negative and rude? Or would they talk about how nice you were to other people and the impact you made on others? What about your relationship with Christ? How would people describe it? Would they know that you were a believer?

If we want to live a purpose driven life with the goal of populating Heaven, we must live everyday with others in mind. How are you living your life? Can others see Him in you? There are several people out in the world who didn’t grow up going to church, don’t have Bible verses on their walls or haven’t ever listened to a Christian hymn. You may be the only Jesus some people see.

The JJ Weeks Band sings the song, “Let Them See You in Me.” The words truly speak to me and should be our anthem:

Let them see you, In me

Let them hear you, When I speak

Let them feel you, When I sing

Let them see you

Let them see you in me

When we speak, sing, or engage with others, strive to be the light that they need –or don’t even realize they need. There are people who are going through a rough time that hide it. Be there for them and be the lantern to hope and grace. There are people who are internally depressed. Be there for them and be the guide to the Word. We don’t know the backgrounds of the people we are around so we must always shine.

“Don’t shine so others can see you. Shine so that through you, others can see Him.”

This week instead of focusing on ourselves, let’s work on serving others by serving Christ. When we look within ourselves, we can let our positive qualities shine so that the lost people can be found. I pray that God can show me how to love as he has loved me. Let’s live so that others want to know Jesus. Let’s live so that others grow to love Jesus. Let’s live a life that shines so that if you were not here anymore, people would say, “I saw Him in her.”
