“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” -1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

As we grow closer and closer to Jesus, the more we appreciate the little things that He has given us. Time with family, going to church on Sunday’s or being alone with Him in the car with the radio on listening to worship songs all seem so simple; however, if any of those things were taken away, life wouldn’t be the same. These “small” things He has given us are actually big things. Instead of just thanking Him for it, we must always be joyful and never stop praying. We must never take for granted what He has provided for us. Life is truly a precious gift especially when we realize that Christ is walking next to us. Not only is He walking with us, He is guiding us every single moment even when we don’t realize it. If we have a thankful, trusting attitude, we will be able to see these events in our life from His perspective –a perspective that we cannot begin to fathom; nevertheless, we can see that He has a purpose. Let’s appreciate the little things. Let’s appreciate the big things. Let’s send thanks to our Heavenly Father for creating us, providing for us and having a relationship with us. Let’s ask Him to carry us through life with an attitude that is full of thankfulness even when all seems wrong. Instead of being negative, it is important that we are positive, encouraging and are willing to spread the message of God’s love for us that never ends.

“This is the day that the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it.” –Psalm 118:24
